OMG. That totally worked. Thanks, Wade!

Note to self: make my screen display bigger. My 50-year-old eyeballs couldn't tell that there was an extra space until I blew it up...

In "the short novels of." title, try adding a space between "underground" and --.

And and make sure the other notes are delimited by spaces, where -- is uses.

I'm guessing that will resolve the issue.

Subject: [Wactclc-alma] Catalog question

So, we have an interesting problem that showed up and I am wondering if it's related to the issue that Sally was having with her contents field not showing up or if it's something entirely different:

In Primo, we were searching yesterday for "Notes from the Underground" by Fyodor Dostoevsky.  It's in two anthologies, one at our Whidbey Island Campus, called Three Short Novels of Dostoevsky.  The other, at the Mount Vernon campus, is called The Short Novels of Dostoevsky.

Both book records have 505 Contents fields. Both records have those fields formatted in exactly the same way in the MARC Record.

However, only the Three Short Novels of Dostoevsky shows up when searching for any of the contents in Primo. The other one will show up ONLY if you search the title of the book, not the titles in the contents.

Here are the MARC records side by side. The one that has the contents working correctly is on the right. The incorrect one is on the left.

Can anyone see if there is something wrong here? They look the same to me. Could the problem be anywhere other than the 505 field?

I'm thinking it can't be the way Primo displays contents, because why would it work for one book and not the other? I am flummoxed.

Thanks, again, to the collective wisdom of the lists!

Elena
