[Wactclc-primo] Problem with baseURL in OCLC

Elena,

The other link you are talking about is for the link resolver service for Alma and Primo.

You would use that link when configuring Ebsco, ProQuest, etc, to point back to your Primo instance. So that users who find an article of interest in Ebsco or ProQuest could click through to the same citation in Primo.

Problem solved. The correct base URL for us (for OCLC, at least) is:  https://skagit-primo.hosted.exlibrisgroup.com/primo-explore/search?vid=SKAGIT&sortby=rank&lang=en_US

I still don't understand the purpose of the other URL that we received at implementation and which services I would use that with, but at least OCLC works...

We are having a problem with OCLC Worldshare because the links to our books are not showing up. I went to the Worldcat config and added the Base URL that Le gave us at implementation for external resources https://skagit-primo.hosted.exlibrisgroup.com/openurl/SKAGIT/SKAGIT?, but this does not seem to work. I get a page that looks like this:

I called OCLC to ask for help. The technician said that the base URL didn't look right and referred me right back to Ex Libris.

What are you all using for your base URLs for OCLC???
