Amy,

In your case, it sounds like sometimes Primo isn't recognizing a pre-authenticated user (ie, someone who already logged in to their campus account via Windows).

If that's the case, that's going to be a fairly technical issue, and probably something that would need to be dealt with on the institution side, rather than the vendor side.

And it very well could be related to how the different browsers interact with your campus authentication setup.

But I suggest opening a ticket, and providing test user credentials, and an affected item, and browser in use, if the issue is fairly reproducible. (Though, sounds like it is only going to happen on campus, and in certain locations, like the computer teaching lab?)

We had two librarians teaching different sections of a class yesterday in the same room a few hours apart.  One had the link show up during a demo (using Explorer) and the other did not (even after manually logging in to Primo using Firefox, which forces us to manually log in, not use ADFS).  They have the same patron type (faculty) and the only difference was browser.  Maybe it's a browser issue.  I've never encountered it myself in my office, but I've seen our student workers have to do the "click around your account jiggle" described in my earlier email to get it to randomly show up.

Amy: I was messing around with settings on Monday and then the Request link went away, so I thought it was me....I opened a ticket and they say that Yaala will work on it, but I haven't heard from her.

So if two of us are having this issue, I don't know: is it connected?

WE are having an issue where the Request link is not always showing up when we want to request a book to be sent from one campus to another.  Most of the time it does, but occasionally, it doesn't.  By trial and error I've figured out that if I go click on my name, then My Library Card, then back to the book, the link suddenly shows up.  Am I crazy, or does that somehow make sense?  Could it be that even if your name is appearing in the corner, you're not fully logged in enough to see the Request link?
