[Wactclc-primo] Who's attending ELUNA?

I'm going to both ELUNA and the Technical Seminar (Alma) and am also bringing Katy Dichter (Seattle Central) to both for the Primo side of things. We're a larger institution though, so having 2 people out for 2 consecutive weeks is less of a burden on our libraries' daily operations.

In general, I find user group conferences to be extremely important for anyone doing any kind of ILS management or configuration, and I made attending ELUNA a priority when I joined Seattle Colleges. Many of the workflow improvements and long-overdue data management and clean-up projects I've been able to undertake wouldn't have been possible without the professional connections I've made and the presentations I've attended at ELUNA.

In general, I think it would be beneficial for institutional leads to attend ELUNA, or for each WACTCLC institution to send 1 person to ELUNA. But if outside obligations make going to ELUNA difficult, then you and your institution will definitely survive without ELUNA. :)

It will be ok!

Subject: [Wactclc-primo] Who's attending ELUNA?

Wondering who is planning to attend ELUNA this year? I have scraped together the funding, but since our 4-day Alma training is scheduled for the week before ELUNA, I just don't think I can be gone from home for almost two weeks in a row, and the Alma training must be the priority. Leaving two teenage boys to their own devices for that long is probably not the best idea :) For those in Cohort 1 who attended last year, would you say ELUNA is crucial, or just a nice thing if you can swing it?
