Traci,

Attached is a recent announcement from BBCC library regarding their plans for laptop circulation. It's one example of how one library is handling laptops this quarter, along with a few other things, like drive up service in lieu of in-building access.

Also, on the CLAMS-L and librarydir lists, I've seen a number of discussions regarding the handling of a few library services (ILL, materials quarantine approaches) with respect to COVID-19 and the spring quarter.

Hi Traci,

Our library is closed through April 26, and borrowing of all physical materials has been suspended until the library reopens. Our IT department manages laptop loans using Alma (we catalog them). We are processing requests for electronic resources only for now.

I don't know if this is the proper thing to post here, but it is the easiest way to talk to everyone. It is a continuation of a topic we have discussed before, laptop checkouts and more. What is your library planning to do with the distribution of books, laptops, etc. to students for spring quarter? Will you be open with limited service prior to the quarter start? Do you have procedures in place for receiving books and laptops? What about quarantine? Any information you can provide is greatly appreciated.
