[LIBRARYDIR] Study Pods

My previous institution, UNLV, had several pods. They used the Framery One model<https://framery.com/en/office-pods-and-booths/framery-one/> <https://framery.com/en/office-pods-and-booths/framery-one/> and then branded them in school colors and with funder logos<https://www.tiktok.com/@unlvlibraries/video/7281045990860262702>. They were and are very, very popular and I can see that since I left two years ago, they have nearly doubled their total number of pods, and their reservation schedule is heavily booked days in advance.

However, I do want to note that while popular, many pods are not accessible to individuals in wheelchairs or most other mobility devices. Many models are also fairly exclusionary when it comes to people of size. Also, humidity and temperature control can be a significant problem with some brands, even those with airflow systems. Personally, I think they are a lawsuit waiting to happen given the accessibility issues, but I have to admit I don't have any legal training. 🤷‍♀️

We're interested in getting one or more study pods in our library. Has anyone recently added them to their library? What brand did you get? What do you like/dislike about them? Anything we should know before moving forward with a purchase?
