The Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges (SBCTC) invites applications from qualified individuals interested in serving as a Program Specialist<https://www.sbctc.edu/about/jobs/> for the Washington Open ProfTech project. As a member of the Educational Resources and Innovation team, this position has primary responsibilities for the successful implementation of the Washington Open ProfTech project, a federally-funded program aimed at developing a set of open textbooks in professional technical programs within Washington's community and technical college system.

We are seeking an organized, proactive, and thoughtful individual who thrives in a collaborative project environment. The ideal candidate will value clear communication and possess strong project management skills. They will be growth oriented with a keen ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and with transparency. Experience in administrative support, contract management, and technical assistance within project settings will be highly regarded.



This position is headquartered in Olympia, Washington. Remote working arrangements may be considered, however travel to Olympia for in-person meetings is required.

NOTE:  This is a 34-month grant-funded position with a clear expected end date (6/30/2027).



The annual salary is Range 53 (Step A $56,880 to Step M $76,608).



Washington State has a generous benefit package including health, dental, life insurance, long-term disability, retirement, and two optional deferred compensation programs.
