Well, it took us all summer to get it done but the WACTCLC Hiring Committee is excited to announce that Carleigh Hill has accepted our offer of employment as the Library Consortium Services Manager.

Carleigh holds a bachelor's degree in Mass Communication from Linfield College, a master's degree in Journalism, a master's degree in Library and Information Sciences from the University of Missouri, and currently works as the Electronic Resources and Web Services Librarian at Whitworth University.

Here are some of the highlights from the committee's findings...
* Ex Libris Alma Administrator Certification.
* Displayed a willingness to jump in and learn new things.
* Impressive background and experience in electronic resources.
* Well-rounded experience including instruction experience.
* Approach to working with people and training others.
* Focused on maintaining relationships.
* Intentional in how she would complete projects. Involves others for input, buy-in, and support.
* Aware of technical aspect and the impacts on other positions.
* Big picture understanding and able to see how all the different pieces fit together.
* Organized with a strategy to stay on top of projects and deadlines.
* Intentional about connecting with people outside of her normal work zone.
* Responses demonstrated time spent researching the position and consortium.
* Varied experience in different settings - journalism, public speaking.
* Understands that different audiences have different needs.
* Experience working with vendors, negotiating prices, and resolving issues.

The only bummer part is that Carleigh will not be able to join us until November 1.

Special thanks to the committee members, Lynn Deeken, Melinda Martin, and Kirsti Thomas, for the time and effort they put into this important project!
