[LIBRARYDIR] Capitalized assets what?!

Hi Claire, our budget office said library books are only a capitalized asset if an individual item or set of items costs over $5000, so our college is assuming that library goods are not a capitalized asset.

Curious to hear what others have heard.

Hi all,

Now that I know that most of you are open tomorrow, I feel emboldened to ask whether you have been asked whether library books are a capitalized asset. Are they? Does this sound familiar to anyone? Thanks! Claire
