Library, network and email credentials are separate from ctcLink (and legacy) accounts. Students can use those credentials on or off campus once they have activated the accounts.
Students can use their ctcLink credentials (after they have been activated) to access Canvas and ctcLink from on or off campus.

Thank you Dawn! Does that mean that students who log onto library resources from off campus can use their ctcLink number? Do they log into their school email with their ctcLink number? Thanks again!

BTC still offers both options for signing on to Canvas, but we have tried to make the ctcLink option more findable and obvious on our website and in our support documentation. We have downplayed—but not quite hidden—the old SID access option. The old sign on comes in handy for supporting returning students (mostly at the beginning of the quarter), and it comes in handy for non-instructional staff, who do not have automagically created Canvas accounts.

Hi all,

At Edmonds, we have two sets of sign ons, one for ctcLink (you can register and use Canvas with this sign on) and one called the Triton ID (you can log into your email and library resources with this one). The two sign ons are confusing for most of our students. Does anyone still have a single sign on? Thanks for your help! Claire
