Hello SPARC Members -

Just a reminder, there are 2 weeks left to apply for the SPARC Visiting Program Officer roles.

The VPO program provides opportunities for library professionals to contribute to special projects and programs, either in whole or in part, in order to advance the agenda of SPARC. The program provides highly visible professional development opportunities for outstanding library professionals and serves the SPARC membership as a whole by extending SPARC’s capacity to undertake additional activities.

Interested institutions should have their candidate complete the online application by March 21, 2022. Candidates do not need to be based at a SPARC member institution in order to be considered and are welcome to apply for more than one VPO role. Links to the role descriptions and the streamlined online applications are below:
VPO for Open Models<https://sparcopen.org/vpo-open-models/>: Support the success of innovative open sustainability models by helping libraries gain a fuller understanding and appreciation of such models.
VPO for Privacy<https://sparcopen.org/vpo-privacy/>: Support libraries in addressing privacy and surveillance threats.
VPO for Negotiations<https://sparcopen.org/vpo-negotiations/>: Support the Negotiations Community of Practice and assist libraries in the development of a more equitable journal negotiations landscape.
