[LIBRARYDIR] Tracking students

It’s not really a sign in/out, but we’re using Microsoft Bookings and asking students to reserve a computer or a study table. It’s super buggy and I don’t think they’re doing it 100% but it’s something. Our IT is using the same program for students to reserve a computer in their labs.

I can run reports and get the names of students who were here. We’re limiting library services to current students and employees this quarter.

It appears that we’re averaging about 50 people through the front doors between 10am – 2pm, so it’s not busy like in the BeforeTimes when it was hundreds an hour during busy times.

Thanks,

Hi all,

How many of you have students sign-in/sign-out when coming to the library? This is mainly for contact tracing purposes. We are fully vaccinated, but we are not being asked to confirm if the student has completed the attestation. Visitors are allowed on campus but we are discouraging them in the Library.

I saw a couple of notes in the reopening plans<https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1SYFHp451KC8l3TZawbYdI93KZYW4CVvKau0js8xnc4w/edit#gid=0> document but assume there are more at this point.

Thanks,
Erica
