Hello, Everyone!

Some of you may have already seen this, but I'm forwarding to this group in case anyone was not included in Debra Maxwell's mass email on Sept. 29. I'm happy to say that we've reached a resolution to the Orbis Cascade billing issue. Key things to note are that Wenatchee is no longer the fiscal agent for this arrangement, nor are any of the other participating CTCs, nor is SBCTC. The billing has been handed back to Orbis Cascade at no penalty to individual schools. For more information, please see Debra's email below.

Subject: Wenatchee Valley College Is No Longer Orbis Cascade Alliance Fiscal Agent

Good evening all!

After a few months of inquiry and negotiations with various parties, we have decided on a final outcome for Wenatchee Valley College discontinuing their role as fiscal agent for the Orbis Cascade Alliance.

With the implementation of ctcLink, WVC does not have the staff resources to continue in this capacity.  Orbis is taking back the function of invoicing subscriptions to the individual colleges.  This will in no way affect the fees Orbis has been charging the colleges, they will remain the same.  You will no longer be invoiced for the additional WVC fiscal agent invoicing fee we were charging the colleges to process invoices on behalf of Orbis.

Orbis has graciously offered to go back to the beginning of the fiscal year (7/1/2021) and rebill invoices to the individual colleges for those that WVC originally received but had not billed pending the outcome of negotiations.  I have provided Orbis with a list of all my college invoicing contacts, and you should be receiving invoices directly from Orbis shortly.

If there are any changes to contacts for receiving Orbis subscription invoices at your institution, please email any changes, as well as any questions regarding invoices, to Amy Wheeler at accounting at orbiscascade.org<mailto:accounting at orbiscascade.org> going forward.
