At Highline: Yes, Tim, they said we don't have a good way to verify who's vaxxed and who isn't. We weren't going to ask Staff to verify that....

But we CAN require students and employees, and they had a process for that.

Another question!  What was the reason behind closing to the public?  No way to identify who is and isn't vaxed?  Social distancing issues/concerns?

I don't want this to be a "Tim" decision so am taking this to our Cabinet this morning so I'd love to hear back asap.  Thanks!

Same with us. We did a soft opening in August so that library staff could get used to being in the physical building again and during that time they had a couple of community users so they knew what they looked like...

When they returned during the first week of Fall Quarter when the "current Highline students and employees only/must be vaxxed" date started, they were informed that they could not be in the building.

We've made the computers log in only. We've never done that before.....

We have a flyer with the names of the surrounding public libraries with their hours and directions....

Still no community patrons for us.  We had a few come in when we opened in Fall, but since we added a check-in process, we've been able to identify them and let them know we aren't open to the public.

?Thank Erica!  I, of course, finally found the link right after I gave up and sent the email.

One of the areas I'm not seeing addressed is how everyone is dealing with community users.  I'D LOVE some input on that one. Being in the part of the state I am I can see this potentially being a nightmare.

O.k., I admit it.  I haven't been paying much attention to what everyone else has been doing as they reopen because we were one of the three campuses that were not requiring them.

However, our president recently announced that as of Winter quarter we will be a fully vaccinated campus.

Weren't we collecting info on what everyone was doing?  Can someone point me in the right direction?
