Passing this opportunity along in case you haven't seen it elsewhere. Note the library & information literacy content in the job (my underlining).

Let's get the word out to library leaders and champions. (Kudos to Candice and all the LLC leaders who made sure libraries are represented at SBCTC).

Subject: SBCTC Job Opportunity | Job ID 10570 | Director (Educational Resources and Innovation)

The State Board for Community and Technical Colleges (SBCTC) is seeking a visionary and dynamic Director of Educational Resources and Innovation to join the SBCTC team.

Washington's community and technical college system is recognized nationally for its innovative approaches to using the immense power of digital technologies and shared educational resources to support 21st century teaching and learning. Our college system has experienced a substantial increase in eLearning courses, especially during the pandemic, and there is an increased demand for innovative tools and pedagogies to help take students further, faster.

The Educational Technology Department of the State Board for Community and Technical Colleges serves Washington's community and technical colleges by providing system-wide access to commonly needed, centrally funded, teaching and learning technologies, related support services, and professional development. The team supports new learning models in flexible, anytime, anywhere learning spaces. The Educational Technology Team is committed to increasing access to educational opportunities to all students. Supporting learners and faculty using digital, mobile, networked technologies to connect content, experts, and other learners is the Educational Technology Department's highest priority. The Educational Technology staff also develop and implement strategies to enable the sharing and remixing of openly licensed content, courses, textbooks, data and research in new ways across the colleges and with the world. This position also provides leadership for the system's libraries and learning resource centers to advocate and help scale shared resources and the teaching of information literacy/fluency to college students.

Headquartered in Olympia, Washington, this position provides leadership for the SBCTC's Educational Technology and Open Education Team and online, hybrid, and open education programs and services provided through Washington's 34 community and technical colleges.

The annual salary is $121,632.
