[LIBRARYDIR] [EXTERNAL] - Re: curbside pickup and appointments

Erica,

We mailed everything during the Spring quarter (running start book, almost 400 graphing calculators, bfet books, health sci, etc.). This was so human resource intensive we moved to curbside this fall.
Now we mail only to students/employees who live outside Whatcom County. Those living inside the county must use curbside (there are always a few exceptions). So far everything is working out.

We haven’t had to mail anything.  We received one request, but the student didn’t follow through.  We hadn’t decided what budget would pay for shipping yet.  (Still haven’t.)

One more question – Are any of you mailing items?  If so, what is the cost and where did you get funding?   If you considered this but decided not to offer this, what were the issues?
