Thank you for those who responded so far. Options A, C, and D seem to reflect the need for urgency and discussion. If it's C/D, I'd like to be included as an interested party.

Thanks.

Good morning Greg and all,
I'm feeling and thinking all kinds of ways about this; too much for email. Conversation and action could unfold in a few different ways, I think, including:
A. Adding deliberation about an LLC statement to our executive team meeting agenda when we meet to firm up the work plan
B. Scheduling the monthly LLC "happy" hour sooner rather than later so we can address the questions you raise less formally as a starting place
C. Interested parties draft a statement re:anti-racist and counter anti-blackness stance along with a proposal of what to do with said statement and exec team sends it to the LLC for a vote
D. Interested parties call a side meeting to discuss and perhaps draft and then propose to exec team some formal action
E. Some combination of above or something else entirely

Hello all.

After participating in the protest today, I am wondering how each of you are feeling about your library and your school and their commitment to anti-blackness and anti-racist practices.

I am also wondering if there is anything the Library Leadership Council would be interested in doing in solidarity-issuing a statement, thinking about practices, engaging in conversations with staff, or something else entirely.

I write this pretty late on a Saturday, I realize, and am not expecting any immediate responses-but I am "fired up" (as they say) and would love to work with others who are as well.

Be safe, and thank you for considering,

Greg
