I started that department in 1998 when I was hired as the Browse Manager (and it was me and one other staff doing the browse lists for books). The team grew, got split up into business groups and got brought back together under my former employee Hannah Burke who married my co-manager, Jon Phillips. Did you work for Hannah? Hi everyone!

I want to introduce myself as the new permanent Associate Dean of the Library at Renton Technical College.

My full-time library career started at Kapi'olani Community College in Honolulu, where I started as an Acquisitions Specialist in their library in 2012. Since then, I've worked at a variety of community and technical colleges in the Seattle area as a Reference and Instruction Librarian and did a brief stint as a Japanese language taxonomist for Amazon. Most recently, I've worked as a tenure-track Instruction Librarian and an Interim Associate Dean of the Library at Renton Technical College, a place I've been at since 2018.

My educational background revolves around Asian American Studies and Native Hawaiian Information Resources. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking with recipes from all around the world, traveling, and teaching my Yorkie puppy new tricks.

I look forward to working more closely with you all!
