Subject: [LIBRARYDIR] Associate Dean Position at Renton Tech

Hi everyone!

I want to introduce myself as the new permanent Associate Dean of the Library at Renton Technical College.

My full-time library career started at Kapi'olani Community College in Honolulu, where I started as an Acquisitions Specialist in their library in 2012. Since then, I’ve worked at a variety of community and technical colleges in the Seattle area as a Reference and Instruction Librarian and did a brief stint as a Japanese language taxonomist for Amazon. Most recently, I've worked as a tenure-track Instruction Librarian and an Interim Associate Dean of the Library at Renton Technical College, a place I've been at since 2018.

My educational background revolves around Asian American Studies and Native Hawaiian Information Resources. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking with recipes from all around the world, traveling, and teaching my Yorkie puppy new tricks.

I look forward to working more closely with you all!
