Have a Heart for Community will be on March 25, 2020 at the Swinomish Casino and Lodge. This new community event from Community Action of Skagit County will feature Ryan Dowd as the keynote presenter for a 6 hour training that will address the strategies and techniques for engaging people with trauma. Dowd runs a homeless shelter outside of Chicago and is the author of "The Librarians Guide to Homelessness". He is also an attorney that brings compassion and confident structure to effectively address problematic behavior from patrons experiencing homelessness, mental illness, addiction or trauma. $70 per person includes the six-hour training, a boxed lunch, the presentation materials and free parking.

The training is $70 per person, but WAIT! There's more!  A half table (5 people) is $340.  A FULL table (ten people) is $675.  Consider taking a group of people to the training.
