Hi Stan,

The cost for Skagit is about $280 and, last summer, it included my entire staff.  I felt it was worth it.  The form this year looks like we would only get 2 complimentary memberships so I might need to clarify that.

My librarians can still join ACRL-WA for a nominal $15 (I think) and I would encourage them to do that.

The calculation for WLA is your annual budget times .0003 (.03%).

I haven't been paying as much attention to this issue as I know I should, but did we ever get to the bottom of what the cost of membership is?  My memory of our discussion was that it was either low enough to be affordable, or high enough it was out of the question; cost of attending meeting was a separate question, but also of interest.

My renewal won't happen until late summer.  I can say that WLA seems to be thinly staffed, but I have always gotten a call back or an email response.  There is more than one email address for WLA:

Hi all,

Has anyone received a renewal for WLA? Our Acquisitions person is waiting to pay our annual membership, but so far she has experienced: no response to emails, ringing phone with no voicemail, and no login credentials to the website.
