I would love to see an index of the titles that come out of this project. Perhaps a good LibraryThing collection?

Thanks for sharing.

Friends and Colleagues:

Hannah Ericksen is creating a lending library of books by authors who attended CTCs, with an emphasis on autobiographical or semi-autobiographical work from the PNW.

If you have recommendations, please send them to her at herickson at clark.edu<mailto:herickson at clark.edu>

She will make the list available when it is complete.

See below for more information.

Peace,

Jen

Subject: [PIO] Seeking suggestions for a book list

Hi PIOs,

I'm giving myself the summer project of creating a lending library of books by authors who attended community college, with an emphasis on autobiographical/semi-autobiographical work from the Pacific Northwest. My hope is to be able to be able to develop a diverse pool of literature that I can use to deepen my own empathy and understanding of our students, and that I can offer as a resource for colleagues. So far I have a few titles, but I know you're the group who are probably best aware if your respective institutions have alumni who have published work that would fit this concept. If you have suggestions, please send them to me directly at herickson at clark.edu<mailto:herickson at clark.edu> so we don't clutter up the list with lots of emails. I promise that after I've finished my research, I'll publish out a finished list to the whole group. Can't promise that it'll happen until after Commencement, but I expect none of us are doing much recreational reading until after then, anyway!

Thanks in advance,

Hannah
