Subject: [LIBRARYDIR] AiA Grant Awards Sent out - Public Announcement in the AM

Deans,
The AiA Mini-Grant Team has been burning the midnight oil since last week. Tonight, the good news was shared with the teams and in the AM, Mary Ann will make the announcement to the world. In addition, she will include a note about the chance to reapply for a small amount of remaining funds, as a few of the proposals were promising but lacked some key strengths that others may have articulated more clearly.

After the notices went out, I realized I failed to include the exact amount of the awards. In every case, we awarded the requested amount, with the clarification that all the teams will need to submit a budget confirmation clearing up some small requests which were not stipends and need to be reconsidered.

Look for Mary Ann’s email in the morning giving all the details of our next steps. Thank you all for your support and encouragement of your teams. We had a spectacular show of interest, excellent proposals, and we can’t wait to hear more about their upcoming project implementation!

One more round of applause for the grant development teams (it’s been a haul folks) and to Mary Ann for getting us all on started!
The Mini-Grant Team
