Dear Colleagues,

Just a reminder that today is the cutoff date for making reservations under the LLC Group rate for our Fall meeting, scheduled for Oct. 12-13, 2017, in Spokane.  Information on how to access the group reservation can be found in the attachment.

Directions to Spokane Community College along with information about parking, can be found here<https://www.scc.spokane.edu/College/MapsDirections.aspx>.  Park in Lot P1 which is close to the Student Union Building (#6) where we will be meeting in the Lair. The Lair meeting rooms are located in the south-east side of the building.  Sadly, parking costs $3.00 / day at the College.  You can purchase a day pass at the kiosk located next to the tennis courts, near the entrance to SUB. My administrative assistant is finalizing meal details.  Our hope is that we will be able to enjoy lunch on Oct. 12 at Orlando's, our culinary-student run restaurant.  We are waiting for the staff to return at the start of fall quarter to confirm our reservation, however.
For dinner, we have reservations at Luigi's, a locally owned Italian restaurant.  You can access the menu here<http://www.luigis-spokane.com/menu.html>.

As you know, the fall 2017 meeting is scheduled at Spokane Community College<https://www.scc.spokane.edu/College/MapsDirections.aspx>, October 12-13.  Cathy Wells, the library's administrative assistance, is working on meeting logistics and asked me to share the following information about lodging.

We were able to reserve a block of rooms at Hotel RL<https://www.redlion.com/park-spokane?gclid=CjwKEAjwrO_MBRDxgqLa-LX041QSJABgmcMsnro64Veer6kjuNME-ZGHCPG6ZCrr7YL-h4QhMwnkBBoC4g_w_wcB&s_kwcid=AL!4331!3!203593482911!p!!!!hotel%20rl%20spokane&ef_id=WFnBBQAABESmSB-k:20170822225112:s> (sadly, we could not get a block at the Davenport Hotel,<http://www.guestreservations.com/the-historic-davenport-autograph-collection/booking> but you can check to see if they have rooms available at the state rate) on the north bank of the Spokane River, within walking distance of downtown and trails leading to Gonzaga University and Kendall Yards<http://www.kendallyards.com/>.

Attached is information on how to make reservations using the LLC room block.  Additionally, our contact at Hotel RL asks us to "Please encourage everyone to make their reservations on or before the group cutoff date on Monday, September 11, 2017."
