There is still work in several areas that needs to be completed. Some of that work is dependent on the further development and refinement of the Washington State Library Strategic Plan.

The IMLS guidelines are included in this version for your use. You will find this information as part of the Introduction and as it pertains to the start of each new section. These will be removed prior to submission.

After the Library Council meeting on May 31, 2017, we will further refine this draft for submission to IMLS at the end of June. Your feedback is and will be greatly appreciated. We need all comments on or before June 9th such that we have an adequate opportunity to consider the feedback prior to finalizing the document.

Feel free to let your Council representative know your thoughts before the May 31, 2017 meeting. If you don’t know who represents your type of library, you can find that information at https://www.sos.wa.gov/library/libraries/dev/council/members.aspx.

All of the information from the IMLS Guidelines to the Needs Assessment to the LSTA Five-Year Evaluation to the Draft Plan is available at https://www.sos.wa.gov/library/libraries/dev/ under the heading Planning for the Future.
