Sure!  The year we decide not to attend Instructurecon is the year everyone from LLC goes.  Enjoy!  They are a lot of fun AND Keystone is beautiful.  The trick is to figure out the bus system asap.

LCC is also closed on Fridays, and I'll be traveling back from InstructureCon, the Canvas Conference, that particular Friday. I'm sorry I won't be able to attend. You may want to check on head count for the meeting in case others are attending the conference as well.

Just a suggestion: as mentioned by Mark Jenkins, we might begin to explore what services our current eLearning offices/personnel provide and areas where we are expanding or have been asked to expand.
As Mark noted, eLearning at the SBCTC needs a good definition of its mission and function and/or to reconsider what it is, given the new expansion of its role(s) and changing technologies and use.
If time allows, we might begin by considering how to capture this information.

Hi there,

For those who weren't able to attend the LLC last week, some of us formed an eLearning interest group comprising deans and directors who have responsibility to eLearning.  I was invited to serve as lead.  Below is an invitation to our inaugural meeting via Zoom.  Be warned this is my first time hosting an online meeting, but we should be OK.

As far as an agenda, I've included in the meeting description the threads we started at our lunch discussion at LLC.  For this meeting I think we are continuing to brainstorm around places where eLearning and Libraries dovetail and how to most effectively frame ourselves (e.g., as "instructional support").  We were also encouraged by Mark Jenkins of the SBCTC to let him know what we want.

So, what do we want?

If you have ideas for a firmer agenda, please do let me know.  At this point, it is my understanding that we need to decide what we want to do as a subgroup.
