Fort Vancouver Regional Libraries invites you to join them on October 20 for the fall Library Journal Design Institute <http://lj.libraryjournal.com/designinstitute/> at the beautiful Vancouver Community Library. One of the best aspects of the Institute is that several projects or design challenges from participating libraries are selected for a hands on workshop with the sponsoring teams of architects.

The event itself is aimed at all library types. Though the Design Institute generally has a higher attendance of public libraries than academic ones. The Institute does its best to structure the content to be relevant to both types even if there are few academics in the room. The sponsoring architects really appreciate when academics are present and submit design challenges.
