Subject: [LIBRARYDIR] LOEL announces new year of mini-grants

Greetings, WA CTC Library Community!

We are pleased to announce applications for mini-grants for year three of the Library as Open Education Leader (LOEL) grant.

This year we will focus on offering Collaboration mini-grants.

Collaboration Mini Grants<https://libraryasleader.org/librarian-faculty-collaboration-mini-grants/> will pay $3,000 per project to libraries in order for a librarian and discipline faculty member to collaborate in adopting open materials in a class. Please make note of all deliverables for this grant. There is a research component to this project that requires regular reporting on the process.
Applications for all grants are due November 11, 2016. Please note that applications are available via the link above. The LOEL Grant Committee will review applications and notify applicants by December 2, 2016. If your application/proposal is accepted, we will need a signed IGA before work can commence. Again, the process is described fully on the Collaboration Mini Grant<https://libraryasleader.org/librarian-faculty-collaboration-mini-grants/> webpage. All grant deliverables are due before April 28, 2017.

We want to make time via some web meetings to answer your questions about the grant. Please fill out this online scheduling tool<http://whenisgood.net/LOELSchedule> to indicate your schedule preference for these sessions.

We’ll record sessions and share recordings as soon as they are complete. There is no requirement to attend these meetings, they are merely a means of communicating about the mini-grants.

To recap, the important dates are as follows:
Applications for all grants are due: November 11, 2016
Applicants notified by: December 2, 2016
IGAs due: January 13, 2017
All grant deliverables are due before: April 28, 2017
