On Wednesday at the LLC meeting, we discussed the need to create a more shared vision, mission, and outcomes for OER/Open Pedagogies between eLC and LLC. This work, as we discussed at the meeting, should precede (or coincide with) the work of the OER subgroup tasked with creating a retreat/workshop on disciplinary OER. The logic is that eLC and LLC have much different cultures around OER which often results in disjointed communication/work that's meant to be collaborative in nature. In order to embark on joint work that produces meaningful results, we need to, first, create a shared vision/understanding and then specific outcomes for what we hope to accomplish together.



I shared that there needs to be more LLC active voices in the joint eLC/LLC OER group. Several volunteered: Sally Heilstedt, Sue Kennedy, and Tim Furhman. Christie Flynn, I believe, is already in the group. If anyone else is interested in joining, please let me know. And...if I'm missing any details of this conversation, please feel free to add them!



Once we have our group set, we can approach eLC with some recommendations about how to move forward.
