[LIBRARYDIR] A little fact finding mission - could use some help

Librarians work 35 hours.

Here are the adjunct hours:

1- 196 (18 hours per week - Thu, Fri, Sat)
2 - 292.5 (26.5 hours per week - Wed, Thu, Fri) - hours from full-time reduced load
3 - 143 (13 hours per week Tue, Thu, Sun)
4 - 55 (10 hours per week - Mon, Tue)

Subtracting #2, that gives us 41 hours so 1.17 FTE, I think.

Thanks,
Erica

OC has 3 full-time librarians (one at 66%) and 4 adjunct librarians, however one of the adjunct librarians is actually getting her hours because of the full-timer's reduced load. So, when the full-timer retires, we will have 3 full-time and 3 adjunct positions.

One adjunct librarian works one day a week at our Poulsbo campus and the rest of the time here in Bremerton. We don't have a librarian regularly scheduled at our Shelton campus.

We did briefly have 4 full-time positions, but someone retired and we never got the funding to fill that position. And somewhere along the way, one full-time librarian's salary was moved out of our normal budget and into our BSN account that is paid by our Foundation. She isn't even the nursing librarian.

Thanks,
Erica

Good morning all,
I am putting in a proposal to our new VPI as to why the college should fund the part-time librarian they told us to hire for our two new BAS programs (they proposed it but never attached any funds to pay for this position and haven't increase my budget to cover the costs) and I would like to add in a piece about how we have been treading water with just 2 full-time faculty librarians (with me also doing double duty as the Library Program Coordinator) for an FTE of 3100 students.
If you don't mind, could you please shoot me off an email telling me how many full or part-time/adjunct librarians you currently have at your institutions? I can see all your FTEs from the spreadsheets on the Alma/Primo project. So just looking to help my case why it wouldn't kill our college to actually fund a part-time librarian, bringing us up to 2.5 librarians.

Thanks in advance
