Hello, Vivienne, and welcome!
I am sorry that I do not have any recommendations for a speaker or expert on your topic.
But, it does sound like a good one!

Subject: [LIBRARYDIR] Speaker: learning environment vs. academic freedom
Library Directors:
Hello from Bellevue! I'm looking forward to meeting you all soon.
A question:
Have any of you dealt with: academic freedom (freedom of speech) vs. appropriate behavior in the learning environment (college campus)?
When is porn not porn, what kinds of materials are ok to view in public (library) computer labs and what is just too offensive to other patrons?
This is a possible topic for one of our library faculty/staff retreats and we would love to host someone from another campus.
Any volunteer speakers or suggestions of other experts?
Vivienne
