CommunitySurvey Data

Do your patrons still need access to Census data even though much of the
federal government is shutdown? The Washington State Office of Financial
Management has suggested several resources to continue to access some,
but not all, of the Census information.

Subject: Accessing Federal Census and American Community Survey Data

Access to census data via the Census Bureau's website has been disrupted
by the federal government shutdown. However, there are a number of ways
to access census data.

You can still access decennial census data from OFM's website:
http://www.ofm.wa.gov/pop/census.asp

Here are some sites that provide access to American Community Survey
(ACS) data:

IRE's Census Reporter <http://beta.censusreporter.org/>

Missouri State Data Center <http://mcdc.missouri.edu/>

National Historical GIS <https://www.nhgis.org/>

Social Explorer <http://www.socialexplorer.com/>

If you are having difficulty accessing decennial census or ACS data
please contact OFM for further assistance:
