At RTC, we have between 300 and 400 sessions in eTutoringonline per year. We are considering going to a different platform, Tutor.com, because the price is the same as providing a tutor to the eTutoring platform and there are many more subjects available.
We also have some limited in person tutoring for English, Math, and computer science, which tend to be the most in demand subjects for RTC.
Do any other campuses have experience with Tutor.com or other online tutoring platforms? I would love to hear about your experiences.

I know i have not participated in this group but i and only part time and have spent the 1st year trying to get ourvl tutoring center back to being an active part of the college.
I am intetested to see what other learning/tutoring center staff feel about the usage of etutoring at their college. Ours are not used much.. maybe 5 students a quarter.
Your feedback would be appreciated.

Subject: [Lcta] IMPORTANT: Update on Learning & Tutoring Center Council (LTCC)
Dear LTCA,
The LTCA Board has finally received some guidance and traction regarding our Learning & Tutoring Center Council (LTCC) proposal. With our persistent outreach to members within the Learning Innovation Subcommittee and the Instruction Commission (IC), the Board has been invited to present at the upcoming Learning Innovation Subcommittee spring meeting on May 15, 2025.
At this meeting, the Board will present the necessity of establishing an LTCC. In preparation for this, the Board has taken the following steps:
* Drafted and signed a formal letter of support for our Proposal
* Updated the Council Necessity section of the Proposal
The updates to the Council Necessity section were made in light of recent information indicating the IC may consider grouping our Proposal with other organizations seeking state-level representation as a means to manage budgetary and resource constraints. In response, the Board felt it was critical to strengthen the Council Necessity section to ensure our Proposal is evaluated on its own history, context, and merit. We believe our Proposal warrants an independent review and should not be lumped with the objectives of other organizations nor overlooked due to the current fiscal environment.
Please find attached the Board's letter of support and the updated Proposal.
Thank you for your continued engagement and support.

Hi Nancy,
Our usage has gone down this quarter, but we are still holding steady at between 250 to 750 sessions a quarter. We have an eTutoring link in Canvas and our website. The majority of students who use eTutoring are our English 101 students who use the ewriting submission and our math students who use the zoom live tutoring option.
Please let me know if you'd like to discuss further.
Thank you,
Erin
