We have seen students not pull out of LACES after they were dropped. I wonder if that is similar to WABERS in that if they have any intake data or hours the won't pull out after they are dropped?

Thanks Rachel- but doesn't LACES wipe classes, data, attendance if the student is dropped? They even are removed from the instructors roster.

The student should not be dropped, imo, but exited with credits adjusted. It's not structurally accurate to drop because a student has participation and attendance. But seems like an oversight in CTClink that it reads it as dual-enrollment and blocks the registration.

What I have seen in LACES is that the hours attended on the dates that the student was enrolled in the previous class will still be entered under that class.

For example, a student switching from a morning session to an evening session on July 23 will still need their hours completed before July 23 entered in the first, dropped class, and all hours completed on or after July 23 will need to be entered into the current class.

Hi all. When students are switching sections of a same course, ctclink prevents a student from being exited and having credits adjusted. They have to be dropped all together.

Ex- student switching from evening GED to online. Same course... OEE. Can't adjust credit and exit and reenroll in online GED because ctclink reads it like enrolled in the same course twice in quarter.

1- can folks verify we're understanding that correctly at rtc?

2- does that mean the receiving instructor needs to communicate with the transferring instructor to tabulate attendance

3- if so, annoying! Any improvements on either front?
