[Hsetestcenters] Questions about remote GED testing

Happy Friday, everyone!

I'm getting a lot of questions about how test takers access remote GED testing, so I wanted to remind folks that test takers can only be invited to remote testing.  To be invited, the test taker meet all the following criteria:


  *   Age 19 or older
  *   Taking English version
  *   Not retaking a test
  *   Must have GED Ready in the green in the last 60 days

If you have test takers needing to test that are at least 19 that meet all the criteria, except for the GED Ready, please tell them to take the GED Ready tests.  Without it, they will not get invited.  The GED Ready are half price until July 15.  If you want to point them to information about this, there is Introducing the Official Online GED Test<https://ged.com/blog/introducing-the-official-online-ged-test/>.  It is a blog, but it is directed to test takers, and what they need to do to be eligible for remote testing.  I am planning on adding this information on our website next week, and I will send you the link for that information, as soon as it is available.

We are hoping to have remote testing available to our younger test takers later this month or early August.  Again, they will only be invited.  Please work with test takers that need to have their Approval to Test and Homeschool forms approved, if you are able.  This will help these students to be invited to remote testing once it is available for younger test takers.

If you have questions, need help for a student that is eligible for remote testing, need help approving age alerts, or have questions about re-opening, please let me know!
