We are pleased to offer a professional development and training opportunity specifically for Washington State Navigators and Student Support Staff who serve adult learners in our Basic Education for Adults (BEdA) programs. This is currently the one annual professional development gathering specifically for this BEdA staff population. Whether their role is classified as a navigator, advisor, transition specialist, with intake and enrollment or in assessment, etc., all are invited.

The 2024 Navigating Through Conference: Navigating with CARE (Connect, Affirm, Respect, Empower) will be offered on Thursday and Friday, October 24-25, 2024, on the Wenatchee Valley College campus in the Jack & Edna Maguire Conference Center.

This event is designed to cultivate a welcoming and inclusive environment among BEdA program navigation and student support staff, fostering a strong sense of community and support for colleagues and students. Through structured discussions and activities, participants will explore their own biases and assumptions, gain a deeper understanding of diverse student experiences, and learn effective strategies to create empowering support networks.

Please forward this message to all BEdA staff or faculty who serve in navigation roles. Registration is capped and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

There is no cost for this training. Faculty and staff will need supervisory permission as travel is required for this in-person training.
