The Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges will like to present to you an SBCTC Education Division Collaborative professional development and training opportunity:

Supporting Pathways: A Student-Centered Approach



A virtual professional development mini-series that focuses on the role of funding a student's pathway.  Conceptualized as a forum, this event will provide both:

  1.  foundational funding concepts, approaches, and resources, and
  2.  practical strategies for staff and administrators to support the development of holistic funding plans that leverage the spectrum of funding resources.

Live captioning (CART) and American Sign Language Services will be provided.



Dates/Time

Tuesdays in August 2022 (9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th)

9 PM - 12 PM



Session Topics

Session One: Centering the Student Experience & Challenging Bias

Session Two: Contextualizing Work within the Student Life Cycle

Session Three: Cross-Department Collaboration for Student Success

Session Four: Beyond Gatekeeping: Generative Conflict & Power Dynamics



Audience

This 4 session mini-series is intended for anyone who works directly with students, including administrators, to develop funding and educational plans, across all roles and mission areas, which may include:

  *   Early Achievers Grant
  *   BFET
  *   WorkFirst
  *   BEdA
  *   Financial Aid
  *   Emergency Assistance
  *   Interested Workforce, Student Services, Foundation and Instruction staff and faculty
