The Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges (SBCTC) invites applications for its Director (Student Success Center & Strategic Initiatives<https://www.sbctc.edu/about/jobs/>) position (SSC-SI).
The Student Success Center & Strategic Initiatives Director's primary role is to support and contribute to building equity centered system-wide movements in the spirit of the SBCTC vision: “Leading with racial equity, our colleges maximize student potential and transform lives within a culture of belonging that advances racial, social, and economic justice in service to our diverse communities.”
The SSC-SI director provides leadership for Guided Pathways implementation and other related initiatives that prioritizing students and centering justice align with the vision, mission, goals, and emergent priorities of the State Board for Community and Technical Colleges. The SSC-SI director collaborates closely with internal and external partners to support the creation of system-wide movements that

  *   Foster the collective development and practice of a shared language and common understanding of the SBCTC vision and the Guided Pathways vision across the Washington State CTC system;
  *   Focus on policies and practices that connect racially and socially just evidence based and emergent strategies designed to positively impact student outcomes;
  *   Collaborate with students to offer equity-grounded experiences recognize community diversity, equity, and inclusion expertise, centering black and indigenous voices.
This position reports to the Deputy Executive Director of the Education Division. This position leads and supervises a team that comprises the Student Success Center. As this position requires close and collaborative partnerships with legislators and SBCTC leadership during the legislative session, this position will ideally be headquartered in Olympia. However, hybrid or remote work can be negotiated when the legislature is not in session.

The annual salary is $121,632.

Washington State has a generous benefit package including health, dental, life insurance, long-term disability, retirement, and two optional deferred compensation programs.
