Subject: Guided Pathways Updates & Connections

All,
Thank you to those of you who joined us last week for the Virtual Guided Pathways Reader Retreat. The agility with which you all leapt into the work in the virtual environment was nothing short of amazing, and we are grateful for your investment in this collective work. We recognize moving rapidly to remote work environments with new platforms, shifting communication models, and community building in this context can be exhilarating and overwhelming simultaneously.
Rest.
Hydrate.
Breathe.
Move.
Get outside.
The reality is, our work is not the only way each of us is experiencing the upending of our worlds. Childcare, eldercare, mental health, physical health, or even having your college age offspring home unexpectedly is changing the way we live, eat, sleep, and cycle through life. Not to mention the run on toilet paper! And yet...this is a moment in our system and country we must continue to consider....

· Who is differentially impacted by the design of our systems and newly emerging structures?

· How will we avoid othering populations instead of dismantling the systems that are reinforcing inequities?

· How can we build and connect in community while social distancing to mitigate virus spread?
Finally, in the words of the brilliant Ambár Martinez, "I am excited. This might be the disruption we needed to really make the changes our communities deserve".
Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions, requests for support, and as always, thank you for your efforts that continue to move this work forward- so grateful to be in this together.
Look forward to connecting soon,
kwb
