Friends and Colleagues,

Purpose: On behalf of the DEI Instruction Workgroup, which is part of the larger efforts of the DEI in WA CTCc Initiatives<https://bit.ly/3hXYdbZ>, I invite you to help us develop two lists specific to faculty professional development.

The first is a list of the individuals at each of the colleges who may be responsible for professional development (Pro D) for faculty. The second is to identify or "map" what kind of DEI programming that, to use the words of the SBCTC Vision statement<http://bit.ly/SBCTCVISION>, "leads with racial equity," and is currently being offered by individual colleges for its faculty members.

The information you provide will allow us better to assess faculty Pro D needs in this area, provide effective programming at the system level, honor work already being done at the colleges, and support collaboration.

Task: Please fill out the open google spreadsheets, or simply reply to this e-mail.

  1. Individual(s) Responsible for Faculty Professional Development at Each College: Open google spreadsheet<https://bit.ly/2MlCaxm>
  2. DEI Professional Development Programming for Faculty that leads with racial equity: Open google spreadsheet<https://bit.ly/2Xo6FsX>

Questions? Please contact Vik Bahl (vbahl at greenriver.edu) or Jennifer Whetham (jwhetham at sbctc.edu)

Thank you very much.

Peace,

Jen
