[Factc] RSVP FACTC October 10 & 11

Hi all,

If you haven't done so already please let me know if you are coming to the Fall meeting at Shoreline on October 10 & 11.  I need an accurate count for parking passes, etc.  Please consider sending a proxy for your college if you are unable to attend yourself.

We have several important presentations about SBCTC policy and legislatively required initiatives. Jan Yoshiwara will be talking about system emphasis on equity.  Kristi Wellington-Baker will be looking for opportunities for faculty involvement in Guided Pathways.  Boyoung Chae will be explaining the new requirement for OER and low cost labeling.

Hi FACTC colleagues,

Welcome back, and hope everyone had a worthwhile break.  Attached is our tentative agenda for the Fall Meeting.   Please let me know as soon as possible if you are coming so I can have an accurate count.

If you have received this message and are no longer the representative for your campus please let me know right away with the name and e-mail of the new rep or the administrator/Senate chair/Union president that would appoint a new one.

If you are just unable to make this particular meeting please consider sending a proxy to the meeting.  Be sure that they contact me for a parking pass, etc.

One issue that I continue to be concerned about is the visibility of FACTC.  If you have a Twitter account please follow:  FACTC of Washington State at FactcOf   Please also share with your campus.  We follow most of the policy agencies so could be a single stop for news on the community college system.

Directions:

You will need a visitors pass for parking, I will be sending them out electronically closer to the actual meeting.  Visitor parking is on your left as you enter the main gate and our meeting is in the 9000 building (Student Union).  The Quiet Dinning Room is directly across from the coffee/deli stand near the front main entrance.

Thursday Evening Dinner:

I am considering the following (all within 15 min. of the college) that have private rooms.  I will need to check soon on availability and make reservations.  Please let me know what you think about the choices.  (As my wife will attest, I'm horrible at making any decisions on a restaurant.)  Feedback, suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
