Gerry,
I hope you are doing and that the mission of FACTC is continuing under your solid leadership.

I am still teaching online as an adjunct for Centralia College, so I wanted to share an email I just received from the Archdiocese of Seattle regarding the needs of DACA recipients during this time of uncertainty.
I have pasted the email below and will leave it to your discretion as to whether you choose to share it with students, colleagues, and/or other community colleges on our side of the Cascades.

As you know, there are over 750,000 young people protected under Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals<http://www.seattlearchdiocese.org/Assets/PastoralCare/11057_jfibackgrounderDACA.pdf> (DACA), around 18,000 within WA State, many of whom are Catholics and part of our communities. While the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops<https://justiceforimmigrants.org/statements/u-s-bishops-executive-committee-release-statement-administrations-daca-decision-calls-catholic-faithful-urge-congress-pass-dream-act/> and our local Bishops<http://www.seattlearchdiocese.org/Assets/PastoralCare/12486_DACA-BishopsResponse.pdf> remains committed to advocating for a long term solution to DACA, we’d like to explore how we can best accompany these youth and young adults within the Archdiocese.

Here is how you can help: if you know young Catholics over 18 years of age or older and on DACA, we would like to gather with a small group of them the second week in February.

Please consider having them contact me (by phone or email) or sending me their contact information and I will reach out to them. This would be confidential and the goal is to listen to them and together, explore what they think would be an appropriate way for the church to be accompany them at this time.

Thanks you, Edwin.
