Dear FACTC representatives,
Could you please forward the following to your English department leads, and thank you!

Request for Information
Clark College's English Department wishes to propose our 3-credit literature courses be changed to 5-credit courses. In order to make our case, we would appreciate the following information:

1) How many credits are your literature courses?

2) What types of writing assignments are required: response papers, journals, literary analysis?

3) Is any research or discussion of literary theory part of your 100 or 200 level literature courses?

Clark College's English Department is also considering a revision to you communication general education requirement. Currently all DTA students are required to take both English 101 and English 102. What is the communication requirement at your college?
Please respond to gsmith at clark.edu<mailto:gsmith at clark.edu>

Thanks you for your time,

Gerard Smith
FACTC President
Clark College, English Department.
