Adding one more comment—I did a call for a DEOC rep to the allocation review committee a few times and Dr. Wang-Wolf volunteered and was able to attend their in person meeting last week at SBCTC.

It's fabulous that you're invited to be on the weighted enrollment subgroup, Hannah. The more folks who can apply an equity lens to this work, the better! Thanks for being willing to rep the DEOC and Bellingham Tech.

I think that is correct that the committee is run by Ivan. They asked me to be a rep that is providing expertise in DEI, it wasn’t a specific ask for DEOC but I feel like when we are doing SBCTC, any of us asked are also repping our work, not just our schools. So I just wanted to stay true to what we wanted as a group, and for us all to be able to track the work those of us on the DEOC are doing for the SBCTC system.

I am happy to sit on this sub-committee!

Hello DEOC Family,
My president at BTC is on the Allocation Model Review Committee, and then asked me to serve on the of Sub Committee of Weighted Enrollment. I know at the retreat we suggested that all asks need to come in some way to the larger DEOC for State board committee representation. I am happy to serve on this if that is helpful or to let someone else serve on this committee. I don’t know a lot about how often they are meeting but the next meeting is May 13th.
