CALL FOR PROPOSALS
Northwest Regional Equity Conference (NWREC)


February 22-24, 2023



We are better as a collective. Join us as we put our heads together to learn together, heal together, and hold each other accountable for equitable change!


We invite you to present at the 2023 annual NW Regional Equity Conference!

We are committed to improving equitable, sustainable experiences and outcomes for historically underrepresented students, employees, and community members. While this conference centers higher education, we continue to broaden our scope to include the government, nonprofit and business community in which students and other participants also participate.



The NW Regional Equity Conference will be accepting proposals from now until October 23, 2022. We are seeking professionals in education, private, government, and non-profit sectors and other individuals who would like to share their social justice knowledge to help remove institutional barriers for historically underrepresented populations.

To Submit a Proposal

Complete the online proposal submission form at NW Regional Equity Conference Proposal (clark.edu)<https://www.clark.edu/forms/nw-equity-conference-proposal.php>. Incomplete submissions will not be considered.


Important Dates

The submission deadline is October 23, 2022.

Notification emails will be sent to the primary presenter via email on November 15, 2022.

Selected presenters must accept the invitation and register for the conference no later than Dec 2, 2022.

You will be required to send your presentation with notes and participate in a workshop review during the weeks of January 12-30, 2023.





Other information

All workshops are 90 minutes in length.




Accessibility Considerations

Please ensure your presentation is checked for accessibility/universal design (for PowerPoint use alt-text for images/graphics, captions are added to videos, color contract considerations.)


Please consider mobility for activities to ensure equitable presentations. (Only fully accessible platforms such as PowerPoint or Google Slides should be used.)


If you choose to present your workshop in a language other than English, please let the committee know and we will explore options for interpretation.




Registration Information

NWREC will provide registration fee waivers for up to two presenters per workshop. Additional presenters will need to purchase tickets to the event.
