Subject: Read and List-Serv Distribution: Inaugural 2022 Student Success Colloquium Call for Proposals

Dear WA SBCTC Directors, Associate Directors, and Leads,

Hello, and I hope this Thursday finds you well and in good spirits. My name is Dr. Claudine Richardson, and I serve as a Policy Associate for Guided Pathways in the Strategic Initiatives and Student Success Center. It's with great joy that we are emailing you to seek your support for the Inaugural Student Success Colloquium from Monday, September 12 to Friday, September 16, 2022.

Would each of you be willing to share the call for proposals to facilitate a session using your list-serv(s)? Below is a draft we have used to generate interest for proposal submissions. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Monica Wilson, Jennifer Whetham, or me.

Thank you in advance for your time and consideration. Humbly,

Dear Community and Technical Colleges Family,

The Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges will be hosting the inaugural Student Success Colloquium from Monday, September 12, to Friday, September 16, 2022. The Student Success Colloquium is a reimagining of the Fall Faculty Institute to include all individuals (student, staff, administrators, and faculty) supporting student success on a campus. The Student Success Colloquium is a space to connect with your colleagues and showcase the incredible innovation and creativity across the Washington Community and Technical Colleges.

We are accepting proposals to facilitate sessions from across all areas of the campuses. Want to present? Submit a proposal at the link: https://forms.gle/kUMXJH9DNSsg6jGYA. The proposal submission's end date is Thursday, June 30, 2022.

The theme for the colloquium is Ethic of Care: Beyond Empowerment for Out Students, Faculty, and Staff. Explore the tentative agenda using the link: https://bit.ly/3LF3y5x. We are excited about the opportunity to learn from team members representing all areas of campus. Are you interested in more details? Visit the proposal form link: https://forms.gle/kUMXJH9DNSsg6jGYA. Please share with your college teams and members. We would love to see representation from as many of the CTC family members as possible.

Submit a proposal for any practice you believe has or could improve: Equity and Inclusion, Accountability and Belonging, Innovation and/or Technology, Curriculum or Teaching, Leadership Development, Enrollment, or Student Services. Need help thinking over your proposal? Contact Claudine Richardson at crichardson at sbctc.edu<mailto:crichardson at sbctc.edu>.

We look forward to reviewing your incredible and innovative proposal submissions. Link to proposal form: https://forms.gle/kUMXJH9DNSsg6jGYA.

The value of your personal time is priceless; please feel obliged not to reply to this email outside of your working hours.

Respectfully and Humbly,

Claudine Richardson, Ph.D., M.S., M.P.A.
