THIS POSITION IS A TEMPORARY POSITION THAT WILL END 24 MONTHS AFTER THE HIRE DATE.

Clover Park Technical College (CPTC) is seeking a highly-motivated individual to serve as the Navigator for the School of Advanced Manufacturing. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with the program's diverse student body. The Navigator will participate in industry outreach, recruit, and retain students in Manufacturing Technologies, Mechatronics, and Non-Destructive Testing programs. In conjunction with the college administration, program faculty, and student success offices, the SAM Navigator will engage students to increase retention and completion by identifying and mitigating individual circumstances through coordination of college support services. The Navigator will be responsible for proactively promoting, engaging, and developing industry partnerships by bringing awareness of work-based learning and CPTC educational opportunities relevant to employer demand.

The Navigator will help support the college's work to cultivate an inclusive culture and campus by valuing diversity, sustaining an environment of belonging, and promoting equitable opportunities for all. The successful candidate will work to eliminate equity gaps and help students succeed in their chosen career path and in what is an increasingly diverse work environment. The successful candidate will work with program instructors and college administration to carry out functions related to the position as described below. The candidate will work collaboratively with advising and other student services to best support student success. Additionally, they will work collaboratively as an active participant in our shared governance processes.
