Colleagues –



As you know, SBCTC Director of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Ha Nguyen is soon to depart for a new position as Vice President of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion at Green River College. Congratulations Ha on this tremendous opportunity and thank you for your leadership during your tenure here.



I am happy to announce that beginning on August 16th, EDI Policy Associate Melissa Williams will be serving as our Interim Director of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. As a key member of the SBCTC EDI team and respected thought leader in the equity space, both within our agency and throughout our college system, Melissa is very well-suited to maintain the momentum of this work as we search for a permanent director. Thank you, Melissa, for your leadership and support during this transition!



The job announcement for the permanent position will likely be posted early next week with an anticipated 4-week recruitment period and a projected start date of late October/early November 2022.
