I’m open to either. My email works for my personal contact.

Thanks Ha,

Hello, DEOC colleagues – meant to forward last week, got lost in the shuffle. Please let me know if you’d like me to share your direct contact information or if, as a group, you are open to me sharing the DEOC listserv as a whole. Thx so much. Best - Ha

Hello again, Ha,

I enjoyed learning about your work when we met by Zoom last month. I’m following up to ask if you could share names and contact information for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion leaders at the State’s 34 colleges. As I mentioned, I’m working with Washington MESA to promote an internship, but I would like to expand awareness as much as possible. NanoString Technologies is the sponsor. It is intended for Black, Indigenous, Latinx, Transgender and other underrepresented populations attending community and technical colleges. I expect there will be other programs, so I would welcome as many contacts as you can share. I am especially interested in reaching diversity focused program leaders at these following schools (which are in proximity to Nano’s two facilities.)

Edmonds
Everett
North Seattle
Seattle Central
South Seattle
Bellevue
Lake Washington Institute of Technology
Cascadia
Shoreline

With appreciation,

Meg O’Conor

Hello Christina,

I am assisting several life science leaders in developing paid internships that intentionally welcome Black, Indigenous, LatinX, and other underrepresented populations. I’m looking for ideas on how to connect with students. I wonder if your department at the SBCTC could help. I am already in touch with WSOS and Washington MESA. Could you recommend other organizations?

Right now the internships are in Seattle and Bothell, but we are looking to create more opportunities elsewhere in 2023.

I would welcome connecting for a call or zoom meeting. Alternatively, please feel free to refer me to another colleague who works on career development.

Best regards,

Meg O’Conor
