Good afternoon FA community -
As you’ve heard, we have had some colleges successfully running their Service Accounts (SAs) in production. (YAY!)

We are ready to work with the remaining colleges who would like to have SAs created and running in PROD by summer term.

It is our understanding that there may be a few of you who might not want to have an SA; if that is the case, we’d like a response to this email thread informing us of that decision so we can plan accordingly.

We will send out Save the Date webex invites for two different setup sessions with all who would like an SA after we get confirmation from the FA community on who would like an SA.

Keeping Winter term end/Spring start and Spring FAC in mind, we have scheduled time on:
Tuesday April 15th and Thursday the 17th from 10:00 to 12:00 and 1:00 to 3:00
And as an ‘overflow’ option -
Tuesday April 29th and Thursday May 1st from 10:00 to 12:00  and 1:00 to 3:00

Here are some FAQ that have come up about this work:

  *   How long does it take to setup my SA?
     *   We’ve tracked approximately two months, which is still giving quite a bit of leeway. Most of this time is dependent on staff being able to complete their Jobset setup.
  *   Will I need to setup TWO SAs jobsets, one for even year and one for odd? Twice the work? ☹
     *   No, not exactly but we’ll explain during the webex.
  *   Will FA Support be available to walk me through the shell setup?
     *   Absolutely, see webex ‘Save the Date’ mentioned above. We’ll be working with you all on the steps to getting these setup during these sessions 😉
  *   Should I file a ticket now if I want an SA?
     *   Nope, FA Support will file a ticket for each college after we confirm which colleges will be requesting SA’s.

Again, if you are a college who would like to have an SA, OR would NOT like to start an SA at this time, please respond to this email thread by Friday, March 21st , so we can plan accordingly.
